Our Team

Kevin

Co-Founder and Co-Owner

Kevin has worked in the telecommunications and AV fields for more than 25 years, and each job has focused on people as much as technology. He’s a natural when it comes to putting people at ease and simplifying complex subjects. His primary role at IQ Automation is leading the sales team and managing relationships with vendors, clients, trade partners and others. When we work with people, it’s often about things they need and do every day in their workplace or their home,” he says. We want to be that friendly, trusted person you can call whenever you have a question.” One of the best things about his job? Adding more fun and entertainment to a family’s everyday life with awesome audio and video solutions.

  • Favorite tech innovation: Heated steering wheel

  • Dream home automation solution: A teleporter for jumping to locations within seconds

  • Favorite non-tech thing to: Drive around with the top down on the car

Jason

Co-Founder and Co-Owner

In high school, Jason fantasized about the amplifiers and speakers he would buy one day. That interest launched a career in tech, including more than 20 years servicing everything from cable and wireless networks to security cameras and home theaters. That experience taught me how to make the complicated simple, and how to make technology easy to use.” Today, Jason oversees the IQ Automation technicians who design, install and maintain technology solutions for home and business owners. He takes pride in establishing a relationship of trust and confidence on every job, no matter how big or small. Jason especially loves the opportunity to install the AV systems his clients dream about — and he still has his eye on that perfect set of speakers for his home.

  • Dream home automation solution: A robot butler who does it all, from dishes and dusting to floors and laundry

  • Favorite non-tech thing to do: Visiting the shooting range to practice his re-loading skills

  • When he’d pick analog: Listening to music, when he’d opt for old-fashioned vinyl LPs and tube amps

Tristan

Office Manager

As the IQ Automation Multi-Tasker in Chief, Tristan is often the first point of contact for clients. She keeps day-to-day operations humming by juggling countless tasks and loves finding new ways for the business to run smoothly and efficiently as it grows. Every day is a challenge, and I find that exciting,” she says. Tristan studied anthropology and was a collections manager at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago before raising a family and moving to Wisconsin. IQ Automation has more in common with museums than you might think, with such a varied inventory of items and so many new things to learn. I am always amazed by the technology and the products we handle.”

  • Favorite tech innovation: Voice command technology
  • Favorite low-tech thing to: Watch TV and movies with her family
  • Digital or analog? When it comes to books, she opts for the old-fashioned versions. I definitely like the feeling of turning the pages.”
