A family building a lakefront home wanted to incorporate an AV system into their plans so they could stream music and video throughout the house and on the patio. It was important that the speakers, wires and other hardware be as inconspicuous as possible. We suggested invisible speakers, which can be installed behind a wall or in a ceiling, hidden from view without sacrificing sound quality. The flat-screen TVs were framed to look like art, and we camouflaged outdoor speakers by paint-matching them to the surfaces they were mounted on.
Smart lighting was installed throughout the property. Both it and the AV system can be easily controlled through keypad controls — a touch that minimizes the need for switch plates and wall clutter, adding to the home’s streamlined, elegant design.
In a bathroom with limited light, we suggested a Seura lighted mirror. The IQ team also installed the home’s security camera system and its network and WiFi.
